Preface

Whether this text, written below, will be a useful article for you is an open question. For me, it was a journey, it affected my nerve cells, it affected my daily life, it made me think and talk to myself. In this article, a psychological litany, I have tried to articulate and dissect the problems, the problems whose source was the organ inside our heads. If this, what would give you a booster, is extremely welcome. If you're not familiar with it, you're probably not human. We humans are biological machines, what influences our decision making is inherently a variable determining the near or future. The cases and models used have been accumulated from various sources of information. Fewer clever words, I tried to convey feelings and their origins, motivation and its source in the situations described by the text and diluted with examples.

Emotions -

As I wrote at the beginning of this page, emotions are not the main problem of a speculator if his approach to self-analysis is properly constructed. They are, in essence, signposts within the head that guide us on the path of perfection.

By realising the depth of your joy, euphoria, or tilt by correcting it, you can float off the bottom. Depth, is something more than why or when, is the acceptance of the state with a full understanding of the pre-background, consequences and feelings in the moment. Authors who try to robotise you or "experts" who insinuate that anger, fear, confidence are bad by trying to limit you from these feelings are trying to make it impossible, to amputate from your brain the innate informer.

Of course, the main goal of every speculator is to get rid of negative emotions or to identify them early so as to prevent failure in advance, but the only problem is that they are symptoms, not the actual causes of your bad trades.

Emotions, if you delve into their chemistry and function, as I wrote above, are a whistleblower. Their main function, when properly approached, is to "poke" at the problem area of your personality. By analysing your states and forming models of these states you can achieve balance and harmony of several "services" of your head.

On this path, your main goal is not to turn off the impossible, but to accept and understand the mechanism of working in tandem with them, after which the quality of personality and decisions made will definitely become better.

The schedule, per se, is not the cause of the depressed state, right?

The real reason, which affects your psychological mood concerning the market in the future is the actions committed now. Let me explain why:

The market draws the same candlestick or line formations for all, everyone sees the same picture, but someone's trading strategy allows him to make deals, and some people, because of their arrogance (self-confidence), overshadowing their minds with ideas of experienced market players, make mistakes, writing off their incompetence (in fact it is not the ability to deny yourself) justify their failures with "bad market".

In this case, your condition was not caused by a bad market, but by a countenance of self-confidence, after closing an unsuccessful trade with a stop-loss order.

To summarise a little bit about what has been written above. The first challenge, if you start looking at emotions through the lens of the symptomatology of the problem, rather than as the cause, you will find it easier to deal with the problem. Banal analysis of why, how and when emotions such as anger, fear they will start to bother you less and less, unconscious control of the internal state.

Getting rid of psychological countenances you become more resilient. This affects the rate of burnout.

Many traders, me included, have gone this way, during a high mood one by one they put their ideas on the chart and create the illusion that it will happen with a 100% probability that their trades are successful, when they feel happy (p.s. this is the first thing that feeds your euphoric energy source and in case of failure the strongest thing that will affect your tilt). It's an unconscious weakness, primarily the inability to criticise yourself and look at fuckups as a life lesson. And this is a situation some people live through more than once, precisely because of the failure to recognise the problem - it exacerbates future depression.

Short-term pauses:

Our mind has a very important function that not only merchants, but also people with other areas of activity, should keep in mind. Not wanting to understand it in consequence is the seed of future problems, in trying to control and solve emotional problems.
